  • Texas House Passes HB 2516

    On May 7, 2025, the Texas House of Representatives passed HB 2516, a bipartisan bill ensuring Texans under age 65 living with ALS have access to affordable Medicare insurance. “Every day matters for those battling ALS, and this bill reflects our responsibility to act with urgency, empathy, and purpose”, commented Rep. Ann Johnson, joint author of the bill.

  • Towards A New Therapy Against ALS

    A new cell therapy invented by Texas A&M University School of Medicine shows strong promise in treating ALS. This will pave the way for expanding studies of treating patients with ALS with this therapy, which has been evaluated in dozens of human patients to date and shown to be safe and effective.
